So, We Have A Magic Pill...NOT!

Here we go again folks. Another pill being promoted for weight loss at all costs to your health. What sense does that make; I take a pill to essentially increase good health through weight loss, adversely; I increase poor health.

I am so sick and tired of claims with a pill that can help one lose weight. Okay, so a pill can destroy your body's natural chemistry and functions to promote weight loss. My question to you is, is it worth the slew of side effects that come with the weight loss?
  • Chest pain
  • decreased ability to exercise
  • dizziness
  • fainting
  • fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
  • headache
  • numbness or tingling in the arms or legs
  • swelling of the feet or lower legs
  • trembling or shaking of the legs, arms, hands, or feet
  • trouble breathing
  • trouble with thinking, speaking, or walking
  • weakness (drugs.com, 2016)
With that said , a clinic in Tampa is heavily advertising PHENTERMINE as a means to weight loss: "Lose up to 30 pounds by Labor Day!" Pop quiz. How many pounds should one losing weight safely lose per week? If you said 2 lbs, pat yourself on the back. The ad for PHENTERMINE claims to help you lose 4 to 6 pounds per week on average. That could be dangerous if not closely monitored by a doctor; not to mention, expensive.

Don't get me wrong. There are some who have taken this pill and they did lose weight. I emphasize 'DID.' PHENTERMINE is not meant for long-term use. Once you stop taking it, what do you think will happen? That's right! Your weight will bounce back with vengeance!
There are some who are morbidly obese and need something like this as a drastic measure. I understand that. But my friends don't rely on pills as a means to long-term weight management. That does not come from a "magic pill." It comes from fitness. Long-term results come from well-rounded fitness with guess what....no side effects! Don't look for an easy way out. Work out and eat right. The results will speak for you.

As always, thank you for your time and for putting your health first.
