Mind Muscle Connection, Yeah Right!

When most people hear the phrase: Mind and body connection, they think cliche. Well my friends, that phrase could be a cliche to those who have not applied it.

Let's jump right into this. Every time you are faced with a challenging task, rather you are aware of it or not, you talk to your body. Yes, you either say "I can do this," or as James Brown said "feet don't fail me now." You may  even encourage negativity by consciously or subconsciously saying "I will never be able to do this,"or "I can't........"
Either way it goes, you are communicating with your body. It is up to you to encourage your body to do what you want or discourage it. So you still think it's a cliche huh? Consider this mind body connection:
Your muscles respond to chemical and electrical signals from your brain in the same fashion that your body responds to the words you speak to it, muscles are no different. Think of your muscles as programmable machines attached to your bones and your brain as the programmer. When you lift weights, you want to fine- tune all the channels of communication from your mind to your muscle. Yes, that means complete concentration on one muscle at a time. You can do this by first knowing where the muscle on your body is located, check out the anatomy picture. Knowing this will help you target the muscle.
Next, it helps to know how you want your body or muscle to look. This this can be done by looking at a picture of someone with the arms you want or the butt you want. Whatever that desired body part enhancement is that you want, it helps to visualize it. If you want to get big, look at body builders like Kai Greene, an absolute pro body building beast!
Now comes the part that some may think is ridiculous, talking to your muscle. Just make sure your headphones aren't too loud. Gym members will look at you and it won't be because of your muscles buddy!
Tell your muscle what you want it to do. This will direct your mental focus directly to that muscle. You know the anatomically position of the muscle, you know how you want that muscle to look, and now you enforce it!
Next time you work out, try what you have learned, that's the only way you can test this method. Always, always, always make sure you use the best protein. I use Visalus's patented Tri-sorb protein blend to help rebuild assaulted muscles, besides, protein is vital to anyone who works out. I suggest using the proven best, Visalus.
As always, thank you for your time and for putting your health first.
